TIGER SALAMANDER Ambystoma tigrinum

  • RATING: intermediate
  • FOOD: zooplankton, crickets, mealworms, earthworms, wax worms, butterworms, small grasshoppers, pinkies
  • WATER: fresh bowl of shallow water daily
  • DAY TEMP: 70 F (21 c)
  • NIGHT TEMP: 60 F (15.5 c)
  • LIGHTING: Incandescent and UVB florescent
  • SUBSTRATE: Peat, Potting soil and playground sand mix, or moss
  • NOTES: 13" stl, terrestrial, needs hide areas, substrate should be deep enough to burrow, secure lid on tank
