Hi, I'm new here and I'm having a bit of a problem with my green iguana, Sizzle.  He is 5 years old, excellent health and free range.

When he wants to go out he scratches on the door and I let him to bask in the sun and when he wants to come back in he scratches on the door.  He's been doing this for the past 2 years, a few weeks ago, he took off into the woods, it took me 3 hours to find him and he was quite upset, but I brought him home wrapped in a blanket, he wanted to bite me!! Something he has never done since I've had him. He always uses the bathroom to do his "thing", but ever since he ran away, he's been doing it everywhere and anywhere, it's very annoying, considering how clean he used to be.

I've let him out a couple of times and he just keeps trying to run away.  I live in the country and there are no other iguanas around here at all, so it's not a "male" issue.

Can someone please tell me what is going on with Sizzle?   He was house broken, very laid back and now he has turned into this sulky, moody creature, I'm not used to.  I am really at my wits end with him, because it's like he has changed over night for no reason.  I hope someone can tell me what his problem might be so I can fix it, he is over 4 feet long and weighs 10 pounds.  He eats fairly well, when he wants to but sometimes he won't touch any food especially when he can't get his own way.  I've had him to the vet and there is nothing medically wrong with him, please help me, thanks.
